Whilst our volunteer editors will do their best to ensure our events listings are as up to date and accurate as possible; with the fast pace of how things are changing, it is inevitable that some will slip through the net. If you are planning on travelling for larger events, we would recommend that you contact the venues directly to avoid disappointment. We are putting in place new measures to give event organisers a friendly reminder to see if they wish to remove cancelled events, so we're sorry if it looks a bit bare in here :(
If you, or any of your party have a new persistant cough, or develop a fever of 38C, we would instead advise you to use the NHS's dedicated website for free, professional advice.

Visit Santa on the Nature Reserve, 6th December 2025, 1:30 to 3:30 at Sutton Courtenay Environmental Education Centre (13.4 miles)
Santa Claus is coming to the nature reserve! Bring your 3-11 year olds to get your wildlife friendly Christmas off to a flying start.
Meet Santa on his day out at the nature reserve and discover how you can help give all the animals a happy Christmas. The event will include a range of Christmas and wildlife themed, eco-friendly crafts and activities for children to take part in while waiting their turn to see Santa - some outdoors on the nature reserve and others in our cosy classrooms by the woodstove. Families will be allocated a Santa time slot on arrival. Each child will receive their eco-friendly Christmas gift from Santa - you are welcome to take photos of your child with Santa. Booking essential as places are limited.
This event is aimed at children aged 3-11 years. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Younger siblings are welcome to attend too at no additional cost but only children with paid tickets will receive a gift from Santa. For preschool aged children we recommend our Storytime with Mrs Claus sessions on Wednesday 3 and Thursday 4 December.
We are committed to keeping our visitors, staff, volunteers and Santa safe. Please DO NOT attend if you or your child are unwell, or testing positive for an infectious illness, such as COVID-19. Your consideration is hugely appreciated.
Please note the centre is accessible by public transport with regular buses (including connection to Didcot Parkway railway station) serving Milton Park, a few minutes walk from the centre. what3words ///unloads.latter.laces
Additional booking information
This event is a full 2 hours of activities. Time slots for visiting Santa within the 2 hour period will be handed out on arrival. If you have time restrictions (eg you need to leave before the event finishing time) please contact the centre ahead of the event to let us know.
Some of the activities, and access to Santa himself, will be outside on the nature reserve. Please dress for the weather including waterproof coats and sturdy shoes - the reserve can become wet and muddy at this time of year so wellies are recommended, unless we've had a long spell of dry weather.
Children must be accompanied by an adult who is able to support them with the activities (it's fine for 1 adult to support several children). Each ticket includes a small eco-friendly gift.
Price
£16 per child (plus booking fee)
